Amath gave a low sigh, as Their joined minds finally came to a decision. Their flight slowed more, wings only a little tired from flying this long. But their mind was made up, and it was time to end the competition between the two. A last turn was made, heading out into the open air far above the beach. The night seemed to be lightening, at least to Their joined mind. At last the wait, the anticipation of the whole Weyr was going to come to an end very soon.
She gave a flick of her tail, and rose a bit higher, moving up between the Onyxs to fly slightly above them now. She glanced down, somewhat saddened at having to choose between them. Yes she had enjoyed having them both chase her, but to choose between them, it saddened her now.
-Kaloath... Dear, sweet Kaloath. I'm sorry.- Her mind voice rang only in Kaloath's mind, her sadness clear. And with that, she moved away from the smaller Onyx. Toward Sephiroth. That was her choice. No, Their choice. Cele had helped make the decision. This was what was best for them all. So the Silver slowed even more, allowing Sephiroth to come and catch her now.
[Ick, that sucked. x.x Oh well....]

As Amath’s flight slowed even more, Sephiroth felt his blood boil as the Flight was reaching its climax. He was going to fight to the end, fight for what was HIS! He swooped even lower, ready to oust Kalaoth for the right to claim Amath as his own, to watch him wallow in his sorrow!
But, when Amath made her choice, as HE expected, none of those things happen. It was a very bittersweet moment as Sephiroth dove in from above to catch Amath, spreading his wings even wider to support them both. He was glad he had won, as was His, but it wasn’t ending at all as he had thought it would. No fight to the death, no aerial stunts that would put even the most powerful dragons under strain… no, just holding himself and his mate aloft as the came carefully down to the beach, not as two dragons, but as one. For all his boasting, Sephiroth really DIDN’T know everything there was. Even dragons such as himself had a thing or two to learn.
Following his dragon’s lead, C’ero swooped in and wrapped his arms around Celesia’s waist even as he planted a kiss on her lips. /Good show, Seph./ Was all he could manage before he was completely swept away by dragonlust. He was drowning in everything that was the Weyrwoman right now; the world revolved around her and her alone.

Amath was slowing. The flight was coming to an end. Kaloath was still determined up until the very end.... up until he heard that sweet, loving voice sound through his mind.
They had lost. They had lost Amath, they had lost Celestia, and worst of all they had lost to C'ero and Sephiroth.
Kaloath hadn't waited to see Sephiroth and Amath join together, he stopped mid-flap and spun around, heading back the other way. He didn't care where, he didn't even watch where he was going. He was done with them. He shot one longing look back at Amath before he pushed her out of his mind. F-fine. He didn't want her anyway. She could have Sephiroth, Celestia could have C'ero.
They really were destined to remain lonely all their lives anyway. Relationships just didn't suit V'rel... even if Kaloath would enjoy one.
As soon as V'rel's mind seperated, he made a mad dash out of that room, running into the door before he managed to find his way out of the room. Tears welled up in his light brown eyes, even if only one was visible, but he didn't let them fall... at least, not until he was halfway down the hall to his room. Luckily, it was late at night, and there was no one around to see his failure. He was a failure, and he was going to be alone forever. Whatever, he didn't want to be Weyrleader anyway. He didn't want to see C'ero ever again, though. He was just going to avoid that sharding man for the rest of his life. V'relMine... it's okay, really.[/i] Usually the rider was one to comfort the dragon, but that wasn't the case here. V'rel was too tired and... er, tense to even listen to the dragon, so all he did was block out Kaloath. He would deal with the fact that they had a new WEYRLEADER in the morning. Or maybe never, who knew.
In any case, he finally made it back to his room and with his disgust evident, proceeded to release all that pent up sexual tension before curling up in his blankets and crying himself to sleep.
