As it had been for the longest time, the meeting room was completly empty unless the dust that was layered over the table, the chairs and the floor. It had been a very long time since there had been a meeting here to discuss the goings on in the Weyr or the threat of Thread(not that there was ever Thread in Vyzren's existance) to Pern. This was just an extention of the Weyrwoman's weyr and, in extention, a place for the new Weyrleader to retreat. It was so hard to believe that he had been a rider for only three Turns and here he was, Weyrleader of Vyzren Weyr. He had only ever aspired to be the Weyrhealer, but this was just... Hard to believe, honestly, not that he ever doubted that it could happen, he just didn't think it ever would. "This is just..." He sighed, knuckles turning white as he gripped the back of the chair he was standing behind. It was all just so sudden. He would have thought that Kalaoth would have one as, although V'rel wasn't the most desirable person, his dragon was good and no where near as unpredictable as Sephiroth.
Speaking of the Onyx, he was currently sitting just outside Amath's Weyr looking like the King of Pern which was certainly how he looked, preening and casting glances at his mate every so often as though someone was going to try and steal her. That was certainly unlikely knowing that Sephiroth would be downright violent if such an event were to occur. Kalaoth was the only one around to even challenge him. Still, he felt protective of Amath and, dare he admit it, loved her. He was going to fight to win her every time she rose to Flight. He'd never chase any Silver but Amath.
With another sigh, C'ero turned and re-entered Celestia's weyr. He wanted to talk to her about... well, everything, really, but couldn't seem to find her. Sephiroth wasn't being very helpful either as his mind was on Amath and only Amath, but he did say that she was around, whatever that meant. Rolling his eyes, he sat on the bed to wait for her to come back in, leaving him with his own thoughts. Honestly, he was scared. He didn't know how to lead, only to keep people from wounding themselves further when he was trying to give them stitches. How in Faranth's name was he supposed to be Weyrleader?!

Cele stepped out from behind the bathing screen a moment after C'ero sat down on the bed to wait for her. Her hair was still dripping slightly, a clear sign she'd just finished with a bath. She gave C'ero a somewhat confused smile when she saw him waiting for her, taking a seat beside him. She raised an eyebrow at him, still feeling somewhat awkward around him. Amath gave a rumble of greeting to Cele, raising her head slightly to glance in at her Rider from where she was curled beside Sephiroth. Still egg-heavy, she hardly did anything more then sleep lately.
Cele shook her head with a laugh at the glance from her Bonded. And she had thought Amath would be back to her usual self after she rose. Sensing these thoughts, Amath promptly blocked all but a trickle of emotion coming from Cele with an offended snort and went back to her nap. Jasper lay on Cele's pillow, watching her as if he wanted to come and beg for a scratching but knew better when both Weyrleader and Weyrwoman seemed so... serious.
Turning back to C'ero, Cele turned so she was sitting sideways on the bed, facing him with her feet pulled up under her. She sighed, then tried to speak. "C'ero..." She started, then frowned and shut up. Maybe she should let him talk first. She folded her hands in her lap and looked at them instead, frowning. Jasper gave a questioning chirp and when Cele glanced at him he crawled over and onto her lap, giving her a rather serious and concerned look that hard to be hard for a flitt to pull off and almost made Cele laugh again. Struggling to control herself, she reached out to give Jasper a scratch and noticed she was shaking slightly. She glared at her hand as if willing it to stop before C'ero noticed. She struggled not to glance at C'ero again as she scratched Jasper, who continued to watch her as if worried she might explode or something.

With a sigh, C'ero took Celestia's hand in his and simply held it for comfort. He didn't look at her, not yet, anyway, as he fought to get his thoughts in order. What did he want to say to her? What DIDN'T he want to say to her? Nothing seemed to be making sense right now and he felt as though he was going to fall apart any second. He couldn't remember the last time he ate or had a good cup of klah(a bad cup was easier to come by than should be) or even a decent night's sleep. It was like he was wading through molasses and he couldn't tell left from right, up from down. He could barely function at all! He hated this feeling, but he couldn't just dump it all on Celestia at once... Oh, shardit.
Dratini and Dragonair chose this moment to pop into the room and settle into C'ero's lap. The former, due to her short attention span, immediately leapt at Jasper to play, cheeping and trying to draw him into the air playfully. Dragonair was much too sophisticated for such play, but she watched non the less for a bit before looking up at hers and crooning worriedly. His thoughts were so turbulent... was he alright? Well, that was a silly question, but why wasn't the big one doing anything about it?! Chittering angrily as Sephiroth, Dragonair launched into the air at him, only to have the Onyx lightly swat her away with a wing.
"Faranth, stop it!" He screamed, emotions coming to a head before he curled up in a ball on the bed trying to hold back a stream of sobs. It was all just too much for him to handle at once and he was suffering from an emotional overload. Concerned, Sephiroth crooned, but stopped. He couldn't do much to help His as he had no empathy for silly emotions, so he'd have to open up to his Weyrmate.

Cele gently wrapped her fingers around C'ero's, frowning. At his outburst, Cele nearly jumped in shock. She frowned, not sure what to do. C'ero didn't seem like one to break down like this... Gently she laid her hand on his shoulder, carefully almost. "C'ero? Whats wrong?" She asked quietly, ignoring Jasper's frustrated cheeps from her lap. The flit gave up on getting her attention and joined Dratini in the air, playful with the other flit since His wouldn't pay him any more attention.
Still unsure as to what she should do, Cele simply stared at C'ero with a worried expression. "Whatever it is, you can talk to me..." She added quietly, glancing at the flits. How they could be so hyper and playful in such a tense atmosphere, she didn't know. With C'ero now in the position of Weyrleader, she was sure he was under a lot of stress. Mentally scolding herself for not noticing how pressured he probably was, she pulled him into her arms rather awkwardly.
She hugged him, still feeling awkward. She'd never seen C'ero like this before, and it felt odd for her to try reassuring him when it was usually her who needed to be reassured. Not knowing what to say or do, she simply held him close to her, waiting for him to say whatever he needed to.

Being reduced to delivering papers was probably the lowest V'rel could get. Of course, he had merely run into someone in the hallways who needed something delivered to Celestia, and it was a pretty deserted hallway. The boy had been distressed, as he had apparently gotten lost and couldn't find her weyr. He was also apparently a runner, as he didn't shrink away from V'rel like most of the others. All he had seen were V'rel's shoulderknots, and an Onyxrider should know his way around the Weyr. He had very reluctantly accepted, and only due to Kaloath taking pity on the boy. You're doing a good thing, Mine,[/i] the dragon said as V'rel walked. Yeah yeah whatever. It's going against my "do not ever see Celestia again" policy, though, he snapped back, still walking.
Obviously he was still upset over everything. He didn't even want to think about it anymore. Resisting the urge to hiss at the thoughts that drifted through his mind, V'rel kept walking towards Celestia's weyr. You know, we should get a flitter. It might help get your mind off-[/i] For the last time, no. Unless you want me to crush it I'm NOT getting a fire-lizard, Kaloath had been pushing this for a while now, and V'rel was starting to get annoyed. Not that he wasn't already annoyed.
Finally, he arrived at Celestia's weyr, sighing and looking at the entrance, not wanting to think about what C'ero and her must have- no, must keep thoughts away. That wasn't something he really cared to think about right now. Closing his eyes in hesitance, he entered, holding the papers out. "Celestia, I have some papers for you-" that was when he opened his eyes, spotting the new Weyrleader and the Weyrwoman on the bed, and C'ero was....... what was he doing? What were both of them doing?
In his surprise, V'rel merely stood there, in complete awe. From where he stood, it almost looked like C'ero was breaking down. But that couldn't be. V'rel was the one who was supposed to break down. He had LOST. C'ero won! Why was he upset? Sharding idiot just didn't know a good thing when he got it. ... not that V'rel actually wanted to win the position of Weyrleader, and it didn't even cross his mind that was probably was C'ero was crying about. But no, he had won what V'rel wanted, someone to... actually you know, like you. Maybe even more than that. Seeing him cry about that made V'rel angry, and he nearly crumbled the papers he held, but restrained himself. He was better than that. He was better than this.

Thought it was so far from his nature, C'ero couldn't help but cry against Cele's shoulder, burying his face deep into her neck. There was just far too much going on at once and he needed to simply cry it out. It felt good to just sit here and let out all of his pent up emotions. More importantly, it felt good to simply lean on another person to let it all out, someone he cared for and hoped understood him. It would be quite akward if Celestia thought he was having a hissy fit or something... He blinked in surprise as Dragonair nudged his hand gently and licked his cheek while Dratini settled in his lap. Sighing, he took a deep breath and wiped his eyes. "I'm sorry for this... It's just a lot to take in at once. I never even expected to even become Weyrhealer, let alone Weyrleader..."
Though he hadn't been all that concerned in the first place, Sephiroth snorted in relief as His started to come around. He acted like he had to go through this alone... Bah, silly His. Two heads were much better than one, especially when in an unwanted situation. Speaking of unwanted... Sephiroth growled low in his throat as V'rel entered the Weyr. Extending a wing protectively around Amath, he watched in furious anticipation as the other rider glared at His and his mate's rider. Jealous he was, and he was doing a GREAT job at it. If only he could eat him now...
Lifting his head, C'ero didn't even bother to look at V'rel as he said, "If you don't have anything else to do, deliver your papers and leave." It wasn't a threat, but it wasn't a casual request, either, as he would have used before. It was a polite order and he expected the other rider to obey lest there be a confrontation at this point.

Cele was busy trying to calm C'ero down when V'rel came in, announcing he had papers for her. She blinked as he stopped talking, turning to stare at him as he seemed at first confused, and then angry. She resisted the urge to get up, grab the papers, and get him out of there, glancing between V'rel and C'ero as if afraid a fight might break out. Instead she stayed seated, releasing a sigh of relief as C'ero spoke politely but with the firmness of an order, without so much as looking at V'rel.
Frowning, she held her hand out to V'rel. "Here, I'll take the papers. Is there anything else, of did you just need to drop these off?" She asked. Jasper gave a chirp and went to hover in front of V'rel's face, tilting his head in curiosity, he sniffed at the Rider's face. "Oh... Jasper get back here!" Cele called, sending a picture to the flit of him perching on her shoulder. Really, that little flit had no manners at all. Jasper creeled apologetically, feeling the annoyance and command in her mind. He hurriedly betweened to reappear besides Cele, settling to her shoulder with a nuzzle asking her forgiveness for his lack of manners.
Cele sighed, sending Jasper reassuring thoughts that he was forgiven, still looking at V'rel with one hand held out for the papers, the other still wrapped comfortingly around C'ero. Her memory flashed back to the flit hatching, where C'ero had punched V'rel, and she had to stop herself from wincing. Hopefully that scene would no reoccur today. Really, it wasn't V'rel's fault he had bad timing... She sighed again, waiting for the papers.
[ short but yaay I posted here finally. xD]
