Name: Crescentia Aka Cresce
Age: 18
Rank: Queenrider
Family: Mother, Lady Sere of Telgar Hold; Father, R'una of Bronze Savath; Adoptive Father, Lord Ravan of Telgar Hold; Half Brother Reral; Half Sister Reren
Birthplace: Telgar Hold
Appearance: At first glance, Crescentia could remind you of a tiger. She seems to have a perpetual scowl on her face, even when she’s in a good mood, which is most of the time. Her face is long and angular but lacks in any sort of pronounced features. Her amber eyes are long and narrow giving her a viper look. Her hair is a soft, light blond that has a tendency to crimp, reaching her waist, which she braids on most occasions, though she will leave it down for special events.
At 5’6” she isn’t incredibly tall, but a bit taller than average. Her skin is very, VERY pale, owing to the cold climate of Telgar and a routine lack of sunlight. She has a straight figure with narrow hips, but is well endowed in the bust. She finds this annoying quite often, but there’s little she can do about it. Her legs are extremely long in proportion to the rest of her body which is where she gets most of her height from.
Personality: Openly defiant to anyone, man or woman, who would presume to tell her what she can and cannot do, Cresce is very strong willed and is difficult to control. Anyone who does may find themselves missing fingers or eyes, as she tends to be armed in some way more often than not. Even without a weapon, she can still fight with her fists, and she will if prompted. She refuses to allow anyone to tell her what to do beyond chores and favors.
Despite being the (fostered) daughter of a Lord Holder, Cresce is only slightly spoiled as opposed to her sister. She has the Daddy's Little Girl thing figured out, but she'd much rather work for it herself. There's just something satsifying about earning the marks for something you want, though if it's really expensive, daddy will get it just because she's awesome.
When presented with a fight that is not her own, she doesn't jump to conclusions without knowing the entire story, giving people the impression that she is level-headed. Doing that just causes problems, so why do it? Despite her generally calm demeanour, she has a temper that can flare up at a moments notice. She usually only gets angry when someone insults her or someone she considers a friend, but when she does, watch out. It wouldn't be fun to get a knife in the ribs over an argument.
She's very independent and forceful, easily taking over any conversation or group she pleases. She gets people to listen to her whether they want to or not, though most of the time she has something important to say. She doesn't have time for drivel, so don't come to her with it. You want help, ask for it, just don't make her mad or you'll come to regret it.
A master of sarcasm, you'll know when Cresce's insulting you or not. Sometimes she can be overly sarcastic, which is the difference between a joke and an insult. She's openly disdainful of those who don't have her respect and can be a pain if she doesn't respect you. She'll make your life miserable on purpose, but only if you've done something really worth the trouble.
History: The result of a sordid affair between the Lady of Telgar Hold and a Bronzerider, Crescentia’s fate seemed uncertain from the day she was born. Immediately it became obvious that she was not Ravan's daughter as neither he nor his wife had green eyes, but the girl's eyes were green like a serpent’s. Thus, the affair between Sere and R’lent became known in the most undignified manner possible. It had been going on for years, it was discovered, much to Ravan’s horror. He treated his wife like a queen and this was how he was repaid? As sad as it seemed, Sere begged Ravan to take her back. She was wrong, she cried, and didn’t deserve to be forgiven, but if he could only find it in his heart… Ravan wasn’t a cruel man, took his wife back, and adopted her daughter, Crescentia, as his own.
From day one, Crescentia got along smashingly with her brother and atrociously with her sister. She and Reren fought about everything, with Crescentia winning due to her forceful personality. As toddlers they fought for mommy’s attention, as young children they fought over toys and as teenagers the fought over clothes and, more importantly, which one of them would achieve more in her life. Reren would always say she’d marry a Lord Holder and have ten children who would be mastercraftsmen to which Crescentia would reply that she would Impress and fight thread on dragonback and have the male Riders groveling at her feet. She couldn’t say if she’d ever make it, but if she could Impress a Queen, she could rub it in her sister’s face for all of eternity. Ah, life was good…
When she wasn’t fighting with her sister, Crescentia would spend much of her free time with Reral. They would mud wrestle and do all the things silly little boys would do, but as he got older, Reral would spend more and more time with Ravan learning how to run the Hold. Sometimes she would go just to see Ravan’s reaction, but he didn’t seem to mind her presence. Thus, she got a good feel for how to run a Hold, not that she ever would, but if she DID end up married to some idiot Lord Holder he wouldn’t screw everything up.
At twelve, she expressed an interest in becoming a Harper to which Ravan heartily agreed. Her voice was lovely and she loved to perform, so there really wasn’t any reason for her to not apprentice at the Harper hall. However, as usual, Reren cried and whined to daddy that it wasn’t fair that she had to stay at the Hold while Crescentia got to go become an apprentice Harper, why couldn’t she go too and so on. Ravan was hardly a weak man, but the whining of his first daughter was getting quite annoying, thus delaying Crescentia’s departure from the Harper hall. By the time anyone could get Reren to be quiet, all the apprenticeships were filled up. Crescentia was hardly heartbroken by this, but, all the same, she took it out on Reren and punched the girl on the nose. No one had any sympathy for the girl and even Sere found it difficult to pity her daughter though she played the part of the doting mother well. Crescentia, meanwhile, refused to brood as she knew her true revenge would come, not now, but eventually…
Eventually came in the form of a Blue Searchrider looking for candidates. With a combination of her position and casual flirting, Crescentia was able to gain the attention of the Bluerider and, more importantly, his Blue, who announced that she would be a fine candidate. Grinning in glee, she ran off to pack her things amidst Reren’s whining, but nothing was going to stop her sister this time. With a rude gesture to Reren as her parting gift, Crescentia found herself on her way to Telgar Weyr to Stand for Impression. Nothing happened right away, sadly, and three clutches came and went. Though she had failed to Impress then, she didn’t give up. Her dragon would come along, just not yet. When word of Vyzren Weyr reached her ears, she readily volunteered to transfer. Maybe her dragon was there, waiting for her so she could show that wherry-brained Reren who was the better sister.
Dragon
Name: Staruenth
Age: 1 turn
Color: Silver
She is a bit small for a silver, with a larger wingspan then the average queen also. Her hide is a gleaming metallica silver, but tendrils of copper start on her legs and creep their way up, all over her body and wings, coming onto her face to create a full, delicate copper mask around her eyes. A very clear star is marked right where her rider will one day sit upon her back in copper, where all the little tendrils meet.
Very protective of those she finds worthy of her friendship and affection, though not so quick to attach to any creature enough to count them as 'friend'. Rather blunt with her statements, she rarely holds anything back in her opinions of any person or thing. Almost bi-polar with her random changes in mood, she tends to change from cold and distant to kind and loving in a matter of seconds.
